Zombie Apocalypse: Night #3

8:09pm

What a day today has been. I have never felt stronger in my life. My mind is constantly focused, and I feel so energetic still. I still physically look human for the most part. My eyes have been continually been getting lighter over the course of the day but they settled at a very very light greenish grayish color. My skin is pale, and has the slightest blue tint. I feel sharp, fast, strong, and focused. I feel unstoppable.  I've managed to steer clear of the men capturing the infected victims, and all other authority sources. I am flying completely under the radar. I attacked someone today. As I was walking out of the building a saw a human male walking, I could smell him and I wanted to rip into his pulsing skin. I waited until we were out of sight and attacked him from behind. On the shoulder, just as I was infected. I bit into him as I twisted his arm backward until I heard the pop. I'm not really sure why I wanted to hurt him, I could've ran after I bit him, but I felt the sudden urge to proclaim my strength. I left him there, dislocated shoulder and all. I'm sure the medical team would find him soon enough. You would think after something like that you might reflect on it and have some sort of regret. I don't feel regret, I don't feel scared, I feel invincible. I could do this forever.

Zombie Apocalypse: Day #2

11:58am

I have been infected. Last night as I was entering my building I was chased by an infected male. He bit into the back of my shoulder and drew blood. I continued to run straight to my room, and he couldn't keep up. As soon as I entered my room I used a towel to wrap over and under my shoulder tightly in hopes of stopping the blood. Then all I can remember is getting extremely hot and light headed. I downed a bottle of water and continued to pass out. I just woke up, 12 hours later and all that is left of my wound is a few small red bite marks. As soon as I woke, I stepped in front of my full length mirror expecting to see a monster. I don't look any different at all, yet. I also don't feel too strange, a little off, but I don't feel like eating anyone.  I feel very tired still, and I have no idea what will become of me in the following hours. I assume the virus will continue to slowly work its way through my body, and I'll continue to document all that I can. I leave these entries behind as my story. I am no longer human, I am a monster.

3:19pm

If there's one thing that I do know, it's that I am no longer afraid. I still haven't undergone any major physical changes, my skin is a little pale but I don't look like the others. I look human still. I also don't feel tired anymore, I feel very alert. All of my senses seem heightened. I'm not really sure what's happening to me, but I know I'm not like the others. Now when I come across other infected individuals they smirk at me, as if we're all in on some sort of secret. I don't know what that secret could be, and I don't think they know my secret either. I don't feel dead, I feel powerful, and hungry, hungry for something raw.

Zombie Apocalypse: Night #2

7:06pm

I saw a friend of mine today. I passed him in the hallway and said hello, and he looked back at me and that was when I knew he had caught the virus. His eyes were all white, and he looked lifeless and lost. Maybe he was newly infected, I'm not sure how that all works really. He didn't try to come at me, or eat my brain. He just stared like he had absolutely no recollection of me whatsoever. I didn't stay and hold the gaze long though, I quickly remembered that he was no longer a friend, but a walking corpse. It was weird seeing one of the infected ones, I realize this could be my fate at any second. It horrifies me to be sitting here while all this is happening. I don't want to leave my room, I feel safe here, and as students we're advised to stay in the dormitories whenever possible. I've heard they have special medical technicians flying in from all over the country to find some sort of cure, and I've seen the men in biohazard suits capturing the infected. I suppose that's why the outbreak hasn't completely spun out of control. I wonder where they're keeping the infected individuals..

11:30pm

Still alive. Tonight I was attacked by two flesh eaters as I was leaving the building. I was minding my business like I have been, and all of the sudden both of them were quickly approaching me. I have never seen anything more horrific in my life. They had white eyes, and thin red scratches all over their blueish skin. They looked like they were dying, and I knew that they really were. I ran as fast as I could to the closest safe area and ducked inside. I knew they were close still, waiting for me. I dashed out of my safe spot and ran for the nearest exit. I escaped, grateful and short of breath. Tonight was terrifying. Not just being chased either, part of me feels like I can handle that, but the thought of contracting the virus. The boys I saw tonight were physically rotting, and possessed by something beyond my understanding. I cannot let that happen to me, I won't.

Zombie Apocalypse: Day #1

8:35am

Fortunately, I made it through the night alive. The outbreak is still small as far as I am aware, but that's no reason to put my guard down. I didn't sleep much last night, lots of things on my mind. My own confusing life, surviving, and the fear kept me awake, and kept my mind moving. Something doesn't feel right this morning. Something in the air, a slight non-pleasant smell. Maybe I'm just imagining these things though, making them out to be worse than they are inside my head. Then again, maybe I'm going to die today.

2:09pm
The virus is spreading. I spent the morning watching my back, and pacing quickly in whatever direction I pointed my feet. Everyone is acting in a similar way, and everyone knows that this is only going to get worse. It's hard to motivate myself to go places, I don't want to die. I've heard the only way to kill a zombie is to destroy its brain. I wonder if I could kill a zombie.. Any who, I'm about to leave my dormitory and enter the quarantine area. I'm afraid of what I'll see, but I'm brave enough to see it.

Zombie Apocalypse: Night #1

10:10pm

I am a human. I have blonde hair, green eyes, and am of a tall and slim build. I am a student at the University of Nebraska and I have just been informed that some sort of 'zombie' virus is breaking out over campus. I will spend the next following hours trying to remain uninfected, trying to survive. I've only been in the quarantine area once since the outbreak, and you can tell everyone is uneasy about the situation. Everyone is watching everyone. We're all looking for some sort of limp in a walk, a twitch, rotting flesh, something to confirm we're not alone. Something to confirm complete chaos.

Zombies!

I have been inspired to write! My dorm hall is hosting a building wide 'zombie apocalypse' game and I have decided to write a blog in character about my adventure and survival. I've always loved to write, and this will be my first "writing project" if you will. (:

The way the game works is this:
Tonight at 10pm one predetermined resident will start the game as "Patient Zero," he or she will begin to infect us by tagging us. The rest of us residents will have a copper wristband on our left hands, and a green on our right. These two wristbands deem you human, and when you have been infected by a zombie you must surrender your copper wristband, and begin to infect others. The only way for a human to defend themselves is to link arms with two other non-zombies. The game is to begin tonight at 10:oopm and end on Thursday at 7:oopm.

So like I said I will be writing in character as myself trying to survive a zombie apocalypse! I hope that if anyone is reading this you enjoy it! (:

STAY TUNED! and as always CARPE DIEM.

Sun in the sky, you know how I feel..

Holy Moses, I haven't blogged in forever. Normally, I blog when I'm upset as a way to sort of de-stress and vent. TODAY I AM NOT UPSET! I know, you're surprised. Any who, here I am, ready to talk, still not sure about what, but keep reading. Life has been going well this last month I've been absent.. I've been educating myself, college. College, college, college.. All I can say is that it's everything you see on tv and in the movies, and more! I love college life, I take 12 hours of classes a week, which evens out to about 2 classes a day. These classes start no earlier than 9:30am and are only 50 minutes long. So basically, I've got it made. Not to mention, I take ridiculously easy classes (except for philosophy).

In college, the weekends start on Thursday which is really nice, and exhausting. Game day as a Nebraska Cornhusker, is also ridiculous. So much red all over campus, and half the campus is DRUNK. Get drunk tailgating before the game, drunk during the game, get drunk after the game. It's a pretty drunk, hilarious, awesome time.

In other news, I don't have a roommate.. the bitch moved out (and took my yogurt). BUT I have someone new moving in this weekend and hopefully she's a little more chill and less needy and stuck the fuck up. I also purchased a mouse, a pet mouse, her name is Ophelia or Fifi. She's the bomb.com and a much better roommate than my previous one.

What else.. hmm.. the boyfriend is splendid if anyone is wondering! My total support system, always there for me. I love him sooo much! I also really miss my family, especially my little brother and sister. I got to see them last weekend and I already feel like I'm missing them grow up. I also really, really, miss my mom. I don't even know what to say about my mom, but she has been so amazing with getting me adjusted to college living. My dad? He's just my dad (eh).

So anyways life is good. God is good, beer is great, and people are crazy.

Carpe Diem!
